Join a delightful group of avid and casual readers to discuss the monthly book selection, as chosen by the group as a whole. Some members engage to become better readers, while others want to be encouraged to read outside their usual genres. Regardless of what entices members to join, all have something to say about the books we read and enjoy hearing and discussing the opinions of others. The Evening Book Club is designed to appeal to passionate readers with wide-ranging literary tastes who love to find and share amazing reads with other open-minded “bookish” women. We select books across genres from any time period that reflect our members’ interests that we believe will provide memorable reading experiences and discussions that will stick with us over time. Our approach is a little different from traditional book clubs. We choose a different category or type of book each month (examples: “The Classic I Missed”, “The Book I Most Want to Re-read”, “Award Winners & Contenders”, and other categories suggested by the group) and nominate a short list of titles for the category that are then determined by a group vote. Bunco is an easy dice game; you may be a winner in one of four categories: Most Wins; Most Buncos; Most Baby Buncos; or Most Losses! Contract Rummy is a card game also known as May I Rummy that consists of 7 rounds each with a different goal. Each round has a winner and whoever has the lowest total score after 7 rounds is the overall winner. For more information, please contact cwccontractrummy@gmail.com.

Euchre is multiple of 4 players card game played in partnership of 2 players who sit opposite each other during the game. 2 Deck Canasta is a popular card game with multiples of four players at a table. Play consists of two You play with a partner. Each player is dealt 13 cards. Your initial meld is 125 points and goes up to 180 points needed to meld. It is a challenging and fun game! We are looking forward to playing with novices (we will teach you) as well as seasoned players. It’s not difficult to learn so don’t be shy…Give it a try! Mah Jongg is a traditional Chinese game played by four people around a square table. We play American Mah Jongg, and the game is played with tiles. The aim is to be the first player to get a complete hand based on the current National Mah Jongg League card.
