Hello CWC Members!
Can you believe we are already into March? It was fantastic to see so many of you at our Galentine’s Luncheon on February 11th at the Hilton Garden Inn. I hope you enjoyed connecting with wonderful friends, sharing a delicious lunch, and listening to our engaging speaker. The energy in the room was undeniable, and it was especially meaningful to welcome so many of our new members—what a great reminder of the strength of our club community.
I want to turn your attention now to an event that is especially important to our club: our STEM Casino Night fundraiser on March 22nd at the beautiful Longview Country Club. This is not only one of our most enjoyable evenings of the year, but it is also our most critical fundraising event.
The evening will feature delicious food, a silent auction with incredible baskets, inspiring speakers from this remarkable STEM organization, and a lively Casino Night where your “winnings” can be turned into chances to win fabulous raffle prizes. Most importantly, this event directly supports Sterling Math and Science, helping provide Science, Math, Technology, and Engineering camps to underserved elementary school students right here in Charlotte.
Last year, we came together and broke our own fundraising record—raising more money for this cause than ever before in our club’s history. That success mattered. It changed lives. And I truly believe we can do it again—but only if we show up together.
If you are looking for one event this season where your participation makes a real, tangible difference, this is it. I encourage you to register, invite a friend, and be part of an evening that reflects the generosity, impact, and spirit of CWC at its very best. I can’t wait to see many of you there as we work together to make this year’s fundraiser another powerful success.
Warmly,
Laurey

We hope you can join us again Thursday, March 19, from 10am to 12noon.

Just take a quick look at the Thank You below to each of you for the Winter Collection Drive:
Dear Gayle, Beth and Friends with Carolina Women's Club,
Wow, ladies! Just WOW! All of us here at Bright Blessings would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all who recently contributed to the baby bottle and rattle/teether project, as well as the awesome collection of toys that were donated to us this month! I cannot tell you how many times our baby program volunteers come up and ask me if we have gotten any rattles/teethers donated to us recently. We appreciate you filling our bins with new rattles/teether toys and bottles. We put these items in every baby bag we send out, as they are essential and much needed! Thank you for supporting our Baby Program!”
EACH AND EVERY ONE of you makes a difference…..a HUGE THANK YOU to you all!

Craft Kits for Children Experiencing Homelessness
This spring, we invite you to join us in making a meaningful difference in the lives of local children in need.
From April 1st through April 15th, we will be collecting craft supplies to assemble fun, engaging activity kits for McKinney-Vento students in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School System, through our non-profit partner Lift Up Carolinas.
During the 2024–2025 school year, an estimated 5,700 students in our district experienced homelessness. Many of these children are living in emergency shelters, cars, campgrounds, or temporary housing situations. In the midst of uncertainty and instability, something as simple as a craft kit can provide comfort, creativity, and a sense of normalcy.
Our goal is to create thoughtfully assembled kits filled with age-appropriate supplies that encourage imagination, self-expression, and hands-on learning. These kits will offer children a positive outlet and a small reminder that their community cares about them.
How You Can Help
Lift Up Carolinas is collecting new craft supplies for children in grades K – 5, such as:
- Crayons, markers, and colored pencils
- Construction paper, drawing pads and coloring books
- Stickers, stencils, and glue sticks
- Small craft kits or DIY project materials
- Small toys, card games, and board games
Donations can be dropped off between April 1st and April 15th. Please drop the items off to:
Terri Fishman
17523 Meadow Bottom Rd.
Charlotte, NC 28277
Or feel free to purchase items on Amazon and ship directly to Terri’s Address above!!
Every item—big or small—will help brighten a child’s day.
Together, we can bring creativity, encouragement, and hope to children facing difficult circumstances. Thank you for your generosity and support!
