Hello CWC members!

I hope you had a wonderful summer and are ready for our “busy season” ahead. This month, I want to focus on our recent survey results and how we’re acting on your feedback. Your voices are essential to helping us grow and improve as a club.

Survey Highlights

We’re thrilled that 91% of members are “satisfied” or “extremely satisfied” with CWC. Members especially value the friendships, clubs and events, philanthropy, and our diversity.

One member summed it up beautifully:

“What I appreciate most about the Carolina Women’s Club is the incredible sense of community and connection. It’s a space where women from all walks of life come together to support, uplift, and inspire one another. Whether we’re sharing laughs over a game, working together on a service project, or simply enjoying each other’s company, I always leave feeling enriched, empowered, and proud to be part of such a dynamic and caring group.”

What We’re Improving Based on Your Survey Feedback:

CLUBS

  • Travel: You asked for overnight trips, so we created a dedicated Travel Club. A December trip to Washington, D.C. is planned! The team is working hard on planning some exciting trips. More to come….
  • Culinary: Back from “pause” with new leadership and exciting events.
  • Ladies Night: Added fun evening activities beyond dinners, while keeping “Girls Night Out” for those who love dinners at different restaurants.
  • Art/History/Culture: (formerly “Spur of the Moment 2024-2025”) aims to continue similar events to those that members enjoyed last year.
  • Simply Social: Due to high demand, we’re adding a second monthly event!
  • Bunco: Based on May 2024 feedback about difficulty getting into Evening Bunco, Daytime Bunco was launched, and both day and evening sessions now receive top marks.
  • Mexican Train: Added last year and already a big hit.
  • Spur of the Moment: a "re-imagined" Spur of the Moment” club, intended for impromptu activites suggested by CWC members such as hikes, coffee chats or movies. Launch date with details is 15-September.

PHILANTHROPY

  • More frequent Lift Up Carolinas (formerly the Assistance League), Bright Blessings, and Dress for Success events this year to increase volunteer opportunities.

SOCIAL EVENTS

  • More engaging speakers—our February 2025 speaker received rave reviews.
  • Icebreakers and table games introduced in February will continue, starting with our September event.

NEW MEMBER EXPERIENCE

  • New Member Events remain popular and will continue.

PHILATHROPY KICKOFF

Our season begins with a Promising Pages book drive through September 7th. Please consider donating to this wonderful cause!  Everyone is always welcome to join in a monthly Philanthropy gathering with special projects and speakers.  The first meeting is Thursday, September 11th (see CWC calendar for details).

NEWSLETTER FEEDBACK

This month’s newsletter is just this letter—we want your thoughts on its format, frequency, and content. Please complete our newsletter survey at the September Social, or online if you can’t attend.

I look forward to seeing you at a club event or at our September 17th Social at Limani!

Warmly,
Laurey
